Cece Caldwell Colors ~ I have

Samples are a girls best friend

The Sample colors I purchased of CeCe Caldwell Paints
Vintage White, Maine Harbor Blue, Young Kansas Wheat, Kissimmee Orange,
Georgia Clay, Cottonwood Sienna, Pittsburgh Gray, Omaha Ochre  *** Omaha
Ochre is not shown in the photo of the stacked samples - not because it's not liked, sorry O.O.

Vintage White: It is *to me* the most perfect ~ Sour Cream
it is not hued with undertones of: yellow, pink, blue, or green - it is Neutral
it is not dull, it's not bright, it is a classic vintage matte white. I will show you.

The photo above is my actual tile, a piece left over, from my backsplash.
My tile is made by Daltile, it maybe discontinued, Alpine Rustic White 2x2 -

The colors you see Above are: Vintage White, Pittsburgh Gray, Georgia Clay
They are blended

The top is Vintage White with a tad, and I mean a dot of Pittsburgh Gray that I ran thru it with a pallatte knife -

The middle is Pittsburgh Gray with a dot of Vintage White -ran thru
The bottom is Georgia Clay with a dot of Vintage White -

The Tile, I used my finger and dotted it with Kissimee Orange ~to show it off - as it is one of my favorites  :)

Can you see the love? I never said I was neat
Bottom: Maine Harbor Blue, Young Kansas Wheat, Pittsburgh Gray, Cottonwood Sienna
Top: Kissimee Orange, Vintage White, Georgia Clay

I go to my local Art Supply "Utrecht's" often and I purchase slats of wood, for around 2.00 to practice upon. The wood itself is Birch, the site describes it as Birch Veneer Craft Plywood. I can paint it and sand it *if I want, and paint it again, it is very forgiving. You can see it here at the website: http://www.utrechtart.com/Plywood-Scale-Model-Building.utrecht
It comes in every size and thickness, it's been a pleasure to use over and over.

This is from me to you " The Colors" of Cece through my own play - displayed on the Birch Veneer " Wood" - the wood is raw, there is no overlay, no treatment that I can see.

1. Vintage White  2. Maine Harbor Blue - each by themselves

3. is Maine Harbor Blue with Vintage White dragged thru
4. is Maine Harbor Blue with Young Kansas Wheat dragged thru

Maine Harbor Blue was one that I knew I had to have. The Blue is a true Cobalt Glass Blue, just as you remember it. It is that blue. It has so much versitility being a Primary color. It can be used by itself, as a tint, an overwash, or simply an added in streak.  Love Love Maine Harbor Blue!!

More samples for you, next post ~ yay my PC is cooperating today :) fingers crossed.
