The Soft Muted Colors
Four Colors, Three are Newly introduced. I added Kentucky Mint to show the comparison. Kentucky Mint is a soft color, yet compared to the other four, it isn't.In the drying stages:
Pittsburgh Gray, Johnston Daffodil, Omaha Ochre, Cottonwood Sienna, Texas Prairie, Kentucky Mint, Montana Sky, Maine Harbor Blue
Dry
1. Kentucky Mint ~ New to the Line - Soft Jade Green
2. Texas Prairie ~ New to the Line - So Different, will explain. It has shown me it changes " Cats Eye"
3. Cottonwood Sienna ~ one of the original colors -Palomino Horse
4. Omaha Ochre ~ one of the original colors - slight golden hue, Wheat
5. Johnston Daffodil ~ New to the line `Palest Chalk Yellow'
Vintage White
The Three Colors that offer Gold, Golden,Yellow
Left is Cottonwood Sienna, Middle is Omaha Ochre, Right is Johnston Daffodil
Too show the color variation, you can see the three in line next to a dark gray - Pittsburgh Gray
1. Pittsburgh Gray. 2. Johnston Daffodil. 3. Omaha Ochre. 4. Cottonwood Sienna
Can you see how I call Johnston Daffodil the Palest Chalk Yellow - Chalk Board.
Comparing colors
Left Omaha Ochre & Right Vintage White
Vintage White & Hershey Brown ~ Painted Pony
Johnston Daffodil next to Kentucky Mint
Cottonwood Sienna next to Georgia Clay
Johnston Daffodil next to Omaha Ochre
Texas Prairie next to Vintage White
Texas Prairie is an odd color. It reminds me of Cats Eye Green. Meow Likes.
Compare the Two Greens: (L) Kentucky Mint and (R) Texas Prairie
Not having a Green at the time I created my own, with Acrylics " tinting" white Gesso -creating the base.
Will make a new post, there is enough here to view and think about. :)
